Preventive wellbeing support, honestly offered
Oakman Care is an early stage provider of non regulated preventive wellbeing support: structured reassurance calls and friendly wellbeing visits, with written reporting after every contact. Our service is designed to support the prevention aims of the Care Act, helping people stay independent and connected, and surfacing concerns early so they can be addressed by the right service. We are honest about where we are: we are building our delivery record, and we would welcome a conversation about a small, well defined pilot cohort with clear reporting, rather than promising outcomes we have not yet measured.
The case for prevention
Demand on adult social care continues to rise, and most crises begin quietly: a fall risk that nobody assessed, growing isolation, a home hazard no professional ever saw.
The Care Act places a duty on local authorities to prevent, reduce and delay the need for care and support. Preventive wellbeing support can help meet that duty: a consistent, friendly presence that notices early and signposts before problems escalate into assessments, packages and admissions.
Oakman Care is designed to provide that layer: non-regulated, high-contact prevention that complements your regulated providers rather than competing with them.
- Supports Care Act prevention duties (prevent, reduce, delay)
- Early sight of wellbeing and home safety concerns
- Signposting into existing community and statutory services
- Designed to reduce isolation and increase confidence at home
- Clear, simple reporting after every visit
- A local presence based at Stuart House, Peterborough
What we offer
Preventive wellbeing visits
Scheduled visits to identified residents, wellbeing conversation, home-safety awareness, observation of change, and signposting. Offered per cohort, locality or pathway.
First wellbeing visits
One-off structured reviews of wellbeing, routine and home environment with a written summary, useful post-discharge, post-fall, or at first contact with services.
Community outreach
Wellbeing outreach days with churches, community groups and local organisations, reaching residents who rarely present to statutory services until crisis.
Clear boundaries, clear escalation
OakmanCare is deliberately a non-regulated preventive service. We do not provide personal care, nursing, medication administration or treatment, and we say so openly on every page of our website.
That clarity is an asset for commissioners: our role sits cleanly before the regulated threshold, and when a visit identifies a need for regulated care, clinical input or urgent help, we follow a defined escalation route, to the appropriate CQC-registered provider, GP, NHS service, adult social care team or emergency service, and we document it.
Governance & assurance
- DBS checks in progress across the team
- Public liability insurance (Markel)
- ICO registered, data protection: ZB928129
- UK registered company: 15831020

Flexible ways to work with us
Small pilots, spot-purchased visits for identified residents, or block arrangements for a locality or pathway, we are happy to start small, evidence the value, and grow from there. Pricing is agreed per commission.
